Sponsoring a loved one to Canada can be complicated. If you’re sponsoring your spouse or common-law partner, make sure to include vast amounts of supporting documents to show your relationship is genuine. An officer of the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), assessing the file, will look to see if the documents support the relationship or whether the relationship was “created” to obtain Canadian permanent residency. In other words, whether marriage fraud was committed to gain access to Canada.

Our client, Vishnu, and his wife did it the right way! Wishing them the best on this new journey!
